A Betting Man

So you are a betting man 

You say  

While your heart nearly falls out of your chest 

For fear should the wind suddenly shift 

But look up and know  

there is something way more mysterious 

Way more grandiose  

And to bet on Him  

Can give you staying power and heights 

That fulfills scripture such that   

The confoundment of your every enemy will be forever 

Talk about God's sense of humor

For who you are is a rare commodity 

You have the heart of a Lion 

Ready to devour both friend and foe alike 

That you may win the prize  

in a race to break the neck of every illegal enemy 

 

And for the honor of being a Lion of the ilk of the Tribe of Judah 

it would be the enemy's delight  

A trusted weapon a trick the enemy has played over the centuries 

To label you as an outcast 

Some lions embrace the label 

In exchange for advancing a principle and for strength that comes from within 

Others may look on more wearily as the enemy makes no exceptions 

When it comes to the work of devouring the living  

 

But that too is already accounted for 

In the innate fabric of every Lion  

our LORD made Lions to be the only cats that live in groups 

And on that day Lions will stand will roar and greet each other 

It will be done the only way a Lion can agree

In Truth Justice and Liberty for all 

On that day whatever we declare in Christ 

He hears us and if He hears us He will grant us our petitions 

Indeed the knees of the enemy will give way 

And that scripture too will be fulfilled 

The LORD's children will have the upper hand 

To take dominion wherever our foot steps  

on all that concerns us on earth 

 

Now the enemy is also called the Lord of the Flies  

(you can include the mosquito) 

You will not find these insects in heaven 

Lighting cast him out  

and it is he who is the real outsider 

Outside of all of the LORD's promises 

And the only lease on life the enemy has 

Is the one you believe you swallow you give the enemy 

It is lack of knowledge that gives you a disadvantage  

So much so as to convince you to start a fund 

Called "save of the fly fund" just anything so as not to have to confront principalities 

For him then to steal your work your honor  

And leave you empty handed 

 

Just a history lesson because a fly is not what we call a sinner 

The Lord of the Flies is the enemy in the unseen world that works behind the scenes 

The enemy is relentless because he has no hope of redemption 

That's why he goes about like a "roaring" lion - all intimidation no real bite 

Seeking whom he may devour because of ignorance  

Don't swallow the lie that there is "good" witchcraft 

Regardless however long the conspiracy has gone on by enemy forces 

if you fear and love God He has peace the world does not understand 

Because you know God His character and He will not be mocked  

There will be justice served according to His judgement

and we determine to be grateful for the privilege to be co-laborers with Him 

 

Oh how the enemy complains 

Oh what whining  

Can you hear them coming 

Sure looks like a parade  

It is rigged it is rigged they say 

When rigging, manipulation and witchcraft is their modus operandi 

Because you have done what they could not do 

You won the hearts of your supporters 

Yet I see in the horizon there are not a few mighty Lions arising 

You engaged them that they could participate in your victory 

You gave them what they were hungry for  

 

And here you are as a professional athlete 

You used your gift 

You gave them hope  

You gave them good news 

You told them they too can fight  

And push back the nay-sayers 

And when there were cold harsh line verdicts 

That had already been declared in-bounds 

Yet were overturned by those not in a position to see 

solely because a careless objection was raised  

And favor given to comradery 

To steal the point away from you 

It was then you called on Heaven and Earth to bear witness  

to  bow to hear and judge  

To raise a counter-declaration 

And to call on help to turn the match around 

 

And as the real enemy came into focus 

The people realized that this was their fight too 

That this was even bigger than themselves 

This was the shredding of platforms of principalities 

that had reigned and governed and held them and their children bound 

Held them captive held them in a death grip 

Yet here you and a stadium full of fans  

were willing to say not this time 

We are not burying any more of our own 

We will not be labeled outcasts good for nothing 

But we will stay our ground and dare to claim what is rightfully is ours  

 

To be complete let me extend the hope  

To the Roman Citizen as much as to the oppressed 

And highlight that there is a third group the Bible calls the double-dead 

These are the wicked whose fate has been sealed 

Who already fully knowingly made their decision 

much like a Judas who was once saved and called a familiar friend of Christ 

But at the end decided to betray Jesus and is called the son of perdition 

Or like Ananias and Sapphira who were saved 

Until they agreed to lie to the Holy Ghost 

But regardless of wickedness we need not let anyone stop us from entering into  

the Kingdom of Heaven for the only worthy testimony is that of Jesus 

The condition of the heart is what Jesus judges and He says He will have mercy on whom He will have mercy and that includes according to reported visitations to heaven many famous people 

And also Solomon even though at end when he was tired and weary 

he allowed his many wives to build altars to Baal. 

 

It frightened the establishment for sure 

One lion waking thousands more to become lions  

Who roar for freedom and justice 

And if they could rig the system 

to make sure this would not repeat 

Then that is what happened 

And we call that worldly (demonic) cycles 

Much like why we had the dark ages in centuries past 

 

But regardless know too that Scripture says  

All things hidden will be revealed 

And that the time is now for there to be a people 

Who will be called the manifested children of God 

Who will be called carriers of Light 

And whole cities will be affected 

And all will know that there is a God that He is real 

For God is good and would that none perish  

And that there should be a great harvest of souls 

Before the coming of the days of the great deception 

Our work is only to believe  

That He is the only living God 

that we are who He says we are 

And to be courageous to Fear not their faces 

You have been called since the beginning of time 

To be a light and all you have to do is remember 

What upset you as a child what moved you to action 

And shake off patterns and triggers the enemy programs 

designed to get you looking defeated 

To put your expectation instead on a God who sees who loves you 

It's time to overturn to reign to deny the enemy 

There is a place at the table set for you waiting for you too 

Let this be your day This is only the beginning of many adventures 

Many battles and yes with Him it's already rigged in your favor too
